Do you teach grades?
Yes, Rockschool grades are taught on the electric guitar and Trinity College London grades on the classical guitar.
Is steel string acoustic guitar taught?
Although steel string acoustic can be taught, due to high demand and in order to keep the lessons to the highest quality, Joe only teaches electric and classical guitar, as these are the instruments he specialises in. If you would like to play electric guitar, but currently have only an acoustic guitar, you can take lessons with a view to switching over to electric guitar further down the line.
Will i have to read music?
A certain level of music reading will usually be required. It may only be necessary for you to read guitar tablature (which is actually very easy). If you are studying music at school or in college, learning to read traditional music notation will be very beneficial to you and is highly recommended. If you are learning to play classical guitar it is an absolute must. If you just want to strum a few chords to accompany your singing, it may not be necessary. Most people find learning to read music is much easier than they first thought.
Do you do home visits?
No, unfortunately Joe is not able to fit home visits into his busy schedule.
